Well this has been a long project and i can finally say that its done. Im really happy with the overall result and with the way everything came together. The dark background really made the cat jump out. My main focus on this drawing was the hair, and i wanted to add as much detail as possible. By adding layers of hair i wanted to give much more dimension to the drawing so it wouldn't look flat. I started recording my progress after i drew the head so if you want to see the video, you can go to [link] and click on the image that says 'watch movie' on the left side. I hope you enjoy this one and i would like to thank everyone that has followed the progress.

the dark background definitely helped to make the serval pop, and also balances well with the dark marks in the fur. the whites are very striking and dramatic also, which makes the middletones so much nicer to look at and appreciate. another great piece from you :nod:

I can't believe it is finished. Amazing I have been watching you draw this, but everytime I see it I am blown away with your level of skill and attention to detail. This is definately one of my favourites. Can't wait to see your next piece.

Wow.. :wow: I love it! The grass in the foreground is just so detailed, it's structure looks just gorgeous in contrast to the fluffyness of the serval :aww: :rose:
